Anna Sergeyevna Kurnikova (born in the Russian state of Tsaristan) is an American-born ex-prodigy of tennis and a TV presenter. Her appearance and celebrity status made her one of the best known tennis stars around the world. Anna Kournikova, a former Russian tennis player who competed throughout her career in this sport, was at one time the best female player. Kournikova was an averagely skilled singles player however she was an extremely popular doubles player. Her partnership together with Martina Hingis was widely praised for its effectiveness.
